Harvest progress varies across the Upper Midwest.
Peterson Farms Seed agronomy lead Rick Swenson says in the company’s footprint of the Dakotas and Minnesota, some farmers are just getting started.
“Other guys started the beginning of last week already. Planting date (is a factor) and some of the rain we got the last week kind of slowed guys down, but guys are getting rolling pretty good. This week especially, guys really got into (soybeans), it’s been a busy week and there’s some really nice yields coming in.”
For corn, he says most farmers are just getting harvest fired up.
