The U.S. corn and soybean harvests continue to move faster than average. Weather was generally favorable in most of the U.S. Midwest and Plains, aside from scattered rainfall and a turn to cooler temperatures in parts of the region over the weekend.
As of Sunday, 38% of U.S. soybeans are harvested, compared to the five-year average of 28%, with 85% of beans dropping leaves, compared to 82% on average, and 64% of the crop in good to excellent condition, unchanged on the week.
