Direct cash cattle trade activity has been sluggish to start the day.  There are just a few bids that have surfaced in Nebraska at $168 dressed.  Asking prices in the South are at $110 live, while the North remains quiet.  Some trade could start to develop later today, but it’s likely the bulk of this week’s business will hold out until Thursday or Friday.  Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange had an offering of 470 head, with 367 head sold for a weighted average of $108.50, all are marked for 1 to 17-day delivery.
