Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed lower at midweek with little direction from cash markets.

October Class III milk down 16 cents at $20.38.  November 23 cents lower at $19.36.  December down 19 cents at $17.72.  January three cents lower at $16.97.  February through April contracts five to seven cents lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.3950. 

Blocks unchanged at $2.65.  Three sales were made at that price.

Barrels unchanged at $2.00. 

Butter down $0.0225 at $1.45.  Three trades were made at $1.45 and $1.4525.    

Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.13.
