Harvest is well underway for Southwestern Minnesota farmer Bill Gordon.
“We completed soybeans about a week ago and corn is in full swing and fairly dry,” he says.
He tells Brownfield yields for both corn and soybeans are variable.
“Some 150-160 range for corn up to 230,” he says. “Soybeans are the same at mid to low 40s up to mid-60. It depends on your field, quality of ground, and your drainage.”
Gordon, president of the American Soybean Association, says they are experiencing drought conditions in his area.
