A central Nebraska farmer says he’s looking at above-average yields on his corn and soybeans this fall.
Dave Merrell of Saint Edward, who has both irrigated and non-irrigated ground, says soybean yields have been very good.
“I’ve seen a lot of mid-70’s for irrigated yields—and dryland yields have been around 55 to 60,” Merrell says.
And he says the yield prospects on corn are also positive.
“I pulled into a corn field and did just a little bit of some high moisture corn.
