Many farmers are seeing much better test weights compared to the past couple harvests.
Southern Minnesota farmer Ryan Buck tells Brownfield he’s bringing in a good looking corn crop.
“Last year we were looking at corn that was harvested at 28, 29 percent, and had a test weight of 52, 53. There was a lot of (foreign material) in the corn (and) it was a challenge to keep it conditioned until it was moved to market this summer.”
He says test weights this fall have been in the upper 50’s.
