The USDA says dry weather allowed for corn and soybean harvests to progress quickly, but field fires were reported throughout the state last week.
As of Sunday, 48 percent of corn is harvested. The condition rating for corn held steady at 61 percent good to excellent.
Soybeans are 72 percent harvested. Sixty-four percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.
Sixty-nine percent of the winter wheat crop is planted, and 24 percent is emerged.
