Soybean harvest is ahead of average in Illinois as some farmers near the final laps of the 2020 harvest season.
The USDA reports as of Sunday 81% of the soybean crop is harvested compared to 56% the week before and the 66% five -year average. The last time soybean harvest topped 80% for the current week was 2015.
Corn harvest reached 66% complete, one percentage point ahead of average and up 21 percentage points from the week before.
