USDA has given out nearly an additional $2 billion to farmers in the last week for the second Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.
As of October 18th, the agency had approved more than $6.1 billion, up from $4.5 billion a week ago. Payments to corn growers remain at the top of the list at more than $1.8 billion followed by cattle with nearly $1.4 billion, soybeans at almost $688 million, milk at nearly $626 million and sales commodities at $560 million.
