The US Mexico Canada Agreement went into effect in July and this week state and provincial agricultural leaders from the three countries discussed progress on implementing the trade deal.
National Association of State Departments of Agriculture President Ryan Quarles led the U.S. Delegation for the virtual Tri-National Agricultural Accord.
“For the US Delegation, our main goal was a smooth but momentous implementation of the new provisions of the USMCA including a framework for agriculture biotechnology as well as the establishment of governance committees,” he says.
