The Weed Science Society of America, along with more than 300 ag and conservation groups, are protesting two bills (HR 7940) (S. 4406) introduced in Congress that would change pesticide laws.
They say the bills, co-sponsored by Democrats and one Independent, would “put science in the backseat” and allow anyone to petition against pesticides deemed safe by the EPA, allowing politics to drive such decisions.
