The USDA says 400.869 million bushels of U.S. corn were used for fuel alcohol production during September. That’s down 2% from August and 1% from September 2019 as concerns about blending demand caused by COVID-19 continued to limit ethanol production. Distillers dried grains with solubles production was 1,733,521 tons, a decrease of 4% on the month and 3% on the year.
The USDA’s next corn for ethanol use estimate is out November 10th.
