Tranquil weather will prevail nearly nationwide for the remainder of the week. In the Northwest, however, multiple disturbances pushing ashore will result in showery weather, including high-elevation snow.
Late in the week, precipitation will spread as far east as the northern High Plains and as far south as the northern Great Basin. Elsewhere, early-week snow showers will end across the Northeast, but late-week shower activity will increase in coverage and intensity along the southern Atlantic Coast.
