Most of the country will experience dry weather during the next 5 days. In the Northwest, however, several Pacific disturbances will result in a turn toward cooler, wetter conditions. Late in the week, snow will blanket northern sections of the Rockies and High Plains, while precipitation may spread as far south as the Intermountain West. In advance of the Western storminess, warm, dry weather should allow corn and soybean harvesting, as well as other autumn fieldwork across the central U.S., to near completion.
