Congressman David Scott, senior member of the House Agriculture Committee, has announced he is seeking the chairmanship of the committee.
Elected in 2002, the Georgia Democrat says he has fought to elevate the needs of vulnerable communities, ensure a stable and skilled farm workforce, and invest in programs that will serve to strengthen agriculture for future generations.
Scott says there are significant threats facing our nation including global illness, hunger, financial insecurity, climate change, and natural disasters.
