The American Soybean Association and the Plains Cotton Growers are suing the EPA over its new dicamba buffer requirements and application cutoff dates.
The ASA says June 30th is too early for cutting off use and several registration conditions would create growing restrictions and disrupt the growing season. The lawsuit claims the new conditions go beyond EPA’s authority.
ASA President Bill Gordon, a Minnesota grower, says farmers need dicamba to remain on the market, and they would like the buffer zone requirements and cutoff date sent back to the EPA for further consideration.
