Wisconsin farmers were able to get into fields for harvesting and fall tillage every day last week, with only scattered regional showers. USDA reporters say corn combining progressed quickly with the excellent weather and an average moisture content of 18%. The corn harvest is now 78% finished, which is about 13 days ahead of average.

Ninety-six percent of the state’s soybeans are in the bin, which is 20 days ahead of average.

The winter wheat crop is 84% good to excellent, with 88% of the new crop emerging.
