Congresswoman Marcia Fudge of Ohio endorses fellow House Ag Committee member David Scott of Georgia to be the next committee chairman, according to Agri-Pulse. An aide for Fudge also told Agri-Pulse she would be honored to serve as USDA Ag Secretary if offered the job.
Fudge has been seen as a contender for both openings.
Congressman Scott is the senior democrat on the House Ag Committee following chairman Collin Peterson who lost re-election.
