The National Pork Producers Council has launched its Give-A-Ham challenge, a social media campaign encouraging members of the pork industry to donate pork to organizations serving the food insecure.
NPPC president-elect Jen Sorenson says pork producers love to give back to their communities and this is a highlight in what’s been a very challenging year. “It’s just a way to celebrate and also a way to collectively give back into food pantries, food banks, community shelves, and people who otherwise would have the means to have a holiday celebration,” she says.
