The final weekly crop report for Minnesota in 2020 is headlined by much warmer than normal temperatures throughout November.

The University of Minnesota’s Soil, Water and Climate Department says most climate stations during the month reported an average temp that ranged from four to six degrees higher than average.

The mild conditions allowed many farmers to finish fall tillage, fertilizer applications, ditch maintenance, and tiling projects.

The warm, dry weather did slightly reduce overall topsoil and subsoil moisture statewide, but the vast majority is still considered adequate to surplus.
