A diversified farm in southwest Minnesota has a holistic management style.
Grant Breitkreutz owns and operates Stoney Creek Farm, a corn, soybean, small grains, hay, beef, pork and poultry operation near Redwood Falls.
“Our approach on our farm is to look at it as a whole ecosystem, I guess would be the simplest way to explain it. Our cattle play a huge (role) in building soil health on our farm, whether it’s in the pastures or on the cropland.”
The president-elect of the Minnesota State Cattlemens Association tells Brownfield he’s also moved hogs and chickens out to pasture.
