Direct cash cattle trade activity is typically quiet for a Monday as both buyers and sellers are busy taking inventory.  Bids and asking prices have yet to surface and significant trade volume is expected to develop sometime Midweek or later.  Business last week was mostly at $110 live in the South, which was generally $1 lower than the prior week’s weighted averages.  Northern dressed business was at mostly $172, also about $1 lower than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
