A new report by Growth Energy shows the impact a nationwide shift to E15 could have on combatting climate change.
Based on their analysis of data from EPA, USDA and others, the authors estimate if the United States transitioned from E10 to E15 nationwide for 2001 and later model year vehicles, greenhouse gas emissions would decrease by more than 17 million tons per year, which is the equivalent of removing approximately 3.8 million vehicles from the road.
