President-elect Joe Biden has nominated Katherine Tai to represent his administration as US Trade Representative.
Tai is no stranger to the US/China trade war, USMCA and other trade relations as she has been the top lawyer for the House Ways and Means Committee since 2017 and the formerly served as chief counsel on China trade enforcement at the Office of USTR during the Obama Administration.
National Pork Producers Council President AV Roth says Tai’s deep trade experience in congress will serve her well in this new role.
