Direct cash cattle trade activity is off to its typical quiet start to the week with bids and asking prices yet to surface.  Buyers and sellers are busy taking inventory and the bulk of the week’s business is expected to be delayed until sometime Thursday or Friday.  Last week’s business started out on Tuesday and ebbed and flowed throughout the rest of the week.  Southern live deals had a full range of $106 to mostly $108, roughly $2 to $2.50 lower than the prior week’s weighted averages.
