A Minnesota-based pork processor continues to stress employee health and safety in the midst of a global pandemic.
Richard Carlson, vice president of quality management for Hormel Foods, says the company has employed protection and mitigation strategies to remain operational.
“So that they could come to work and feel like it was a safe place to be, and that we could prevent COVID from spreading in our workplaces. And at the same time, hopefully our employees become ambassadors for those messages.”
During a webinar hosted by the Minnesota Agricultural Utilization Research Institute Wednesday, Carlson said there were many disruptions early in the pandemic.
