Direct cash cattle trade is off to a quiet start following Wednesday’s light to moderate business. Deals in the North were at $165 to $167 dressed, $3 to $5 lower than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska. There were also some live deals noted at $105. The South was quiet. Asking prices are around $109 to $110 live in the South and $169 plus dressed in the North. More business is expected to develop as the day progresses.
