Direct cash cattle trade is quiet following Thursday’s active trade.  The majority of business was in the South with live deals marked at $108, right around last week’s weighted average basis.  Live deals in the North ranged from $105 to $108, that’s $1 lower to $2 higher than last week’s weighted average basis.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $109 to $110 live in the South and $168 plus dressed in the North.
