A field agronomist in west central Illinois says he is looking forward to the widespread use of Enlist E3 soybeans in 2021.

Matt Montgomery with Pioneer tells Brownfield, while Enlist soybeans are a Pioneer product, they are a step in the right direction for the entire industry.

“The fact that we can bring another mode of action into the industry is really important. We all panicked when we had to worry about dicamba there for a bit having no label, and to know there is another mode of action – I think that at least is a better place for us to be.”

Montgomery says looking ahead, herbicide resistant weeds are a continuous concern.
