Agricultural machinery pioneer Helmut Claas has died.  He was 94. 

Claas was the long-time managing director, chairman of the Supervisory Board, and chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee group.  In addition, Claas focused on developing pioneering products and mass-producing them economically.  The Dominator combine harvester, the new development of Lexion, the Jaguar forage harvester, and the large tractor Xerion were all developed under Helmut Claas. 

Claas was inducted into the Hall of Fame of American Equipment Manufacturers in November 2013. 

His daughter, Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser, manages the decision-making and development of the successful group of companies.
