The President of the Renewable Fuels Association says he’s not surprised outgoing EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler granted three new ethanol blending waivers granted late Tuesday.
Geoff Cooper says, “We’re just frustrated but not terribly surprised by the last-minute actions of this administration.”
Cooper tells Brownfield the new waivers total 260 million gallons of ethanol for three oil refiners under their 2018 and 2019 obligations, and like all other waivers, EPA has not disclosed which refiners received the waivers.
