The US Cotton Trust Protocol sets a new standard for more sustainably grown cotton.
Central Arkansas cotton grower Matthew Marsh says US cotton growers are global leaders in innovation and stewardship, and the new program is an opportunity to showcase that. “The Trust Protocol assures us that we get that message out there,” he says. “It allows us to quantify that and verify that. It gives assurances to our partners that US cotton is responsibly produced.” He tells Brownfield end users are wanting cotton that is more sustainably grown with lower environmental and social risks.
