Three Illinois farmers agree that a mild winter has their winter wheat crops looking good so far.
During a Double Crop Farmers Forum hosted by the Illinois Wheat Association and Illinois Soybean Association, Illinois Wheat Association President Danny Rubin of Shobonier says..
“Everything looks good, as long as nothing happens, we will be applying our first pass of nitrogen probably early February or as soon as the ground freezes up.”
Dale Wehmeyer of Mascoutah says they walked their fields this past week.
