The Illinois Beef Association has named Josh St. Peters as their new Executive Vice President effective March 1.

The Bond County cattle farmer tells Brownfield he hopes to increase participation in the association and continue to connect with beef consumers.

“Through this pandemic over the last year we have seen a huge surge in demand for buying beef locally and we want to continue to strengthen those connection through our checkoff work for beef producers and consumers all across the state.”

He says keeping consumers informed about sustainable practices and ways beef farmers are helping combat climate change is also a top priority.
