A light to moderate direct cash cattle trade is underway at midday.  Live deals in the South are at $114, $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages.   Dressed business is marked at $178 in the North.   Some asking prices are holding firm at $115 to $116 live in the South and $182 to $185 dressed in the North.  There was a light, scattered trade that took place in parts of Nebraska and Iowa on Thursday, dressed deals ranged from $178 to $180, which is steady to $2 higher than last week’s weighted averages.
