During the next 5 days, a parade of storms will cross the country, delivering widespread wintry precipitation across the West and from the central and southern Plains into the mid-South, lower Midwest, and Northeast. Much of the Southeast will receive rain, with 1- to 4-inch totals common, except across southern Florida.
