Nearly 60 ag and food groups are urging the quick confirmation of Jewel Bronaugh as U.S. Deputy Ag Secretary.
In a letter to the Senate Ag Committee, the coalition says Bronaugh has spent her entire career in agriculture and has committed herself to fair and equitable administration of laws and policies.
The food and ag groups say the USDA needs experienced leaders as the nation faces challenges including infrastructure, climate, diversity, trade, and immigration.
