U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley is disturbed by comments made by new Biden climate czar Gina McCarthy.
During his weekly call with ag reporters Tuesday, the Iowa Republican said the former EPA administrator under Barack Obama seemed to call out the Midwest last week. Grassley quoted McCarthy.
“Quote: ‘We have to get the middle of the country understanding and active in climate. We have to show them what resilience looks like.’ End quote.”
When referring to “Middle America,” Grassley says he’s not sure if McCarthy is talking about Midwestern states or everywhere in the country not on the east and west coasts.
