Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley joined a bipartisan group of elected officials in remembering the 500-thousand Americans who’ve died from COVID-19.
President Biden and the First Lady held an event outside the White House lit by 500 candles, each representing one-thousand deaths. The 87-year-old Grassley tested positive for COVID in November, quarantined for two weeks and continues to wear a mask in public settings.
As of today, the State has removed all individual data, except deaths, from its website. Iowa continues to be well behind the national average in administering the 2nd dose of the vaccine.
