Learning by doing has been a difficult motto to uphold for FFA members during the coronavirus pandemic.
Michigan FFA state president Alex Scovill tells Brownfield a week after his state officer team was voted into office, the pandemic closed down any sense of normalcy for the year.
“This past year as a state officer has definitely not been what we expected, but we’re getting through it,” he says.
Scovill says while some aspects of the organization have strengthened in a virtual format, the personal relationships and networking, which has been most meaningful to him, has suffered.
