The Executive Vice President of the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois shares some reminders during National Grain Bin Safety Week.
Jeff Adkisson tells Brownfield the number one rule is to never go in a grain bin with the equipment running and to lock it out so no one else can come along and turn it on.
“Many times, that is how accidents have happened, somebody goes in when the grain is plugged up and all of a sudden the grain starts flowing then somebody becomes trapped and ultimately engulfed.
