The head of the Right-to-Repair Coalition says they are working with lawmakers across the country to help farmers gain the ability to repair the five-percent of ag equipment they are currently shut out of.

Gay Gordon-Byrne says that lack of access is costing farmers precious time in the field, “And right now farmers are down with really a very simple problem, often. And then the only way to get it resolved is, even if they could get the part, even if they could get the diagnostics, the dealer has to come out and bless the part.”

Then, she says, the dealer must reach the company to cinfomr the part and then must re download a file to repair it.
