There is a lot of optimism for soybeans in the commodity’s top producing state.
Illinois Soybean Association Communications Director Rachel Peabody tells Brownfield early spring weather at the beginning of March is helping drive that.
“We’re on the very cusp of planting season. A lot of our farmers are getting antsy and making those plans and talking about when they are going to be in the field.”
She says higher soybean prices are another driver.
