The chair of the Senate Ag Committee says farmers should get involved in shaping the future farm bill and climate change policy.  Debbie Stabenow told the recent National Farmers Union convention the best way to avoid one-size-fits-all policy or mandates is to let Congress know their ideas early. “Help us, you know, put things together and make sure that what is being done is specific to different states, you know, different crops, different types of soils and so on.”

Stabenow says there is a lot of diversity across American farms and climate change legislation will need farmer input.
