A fifth-generation Illinois farmer is the first recipient of the Glen “GB” Brandt Prize for Ag Entrepreneurism.
Following the passing of Brandt co-founder “GB” in 2020, the ag product and services company headquartered in Springfield, Illinois partnered with the University of Illinois to create a memorial award recognizing Illinois producers who show entrepreneurship and advance innovation through their business practices.
Karl Barnhart with Brandt says the award will help carry the legacy of their founder.
