Former House Ag Committee Chairman Collin Peterson is joining an ag lobbying firm as a consultant.
The Minnesota Democrat, who was defeated in last November’s election after several decades in office, has told several media outlets he will engage with corn, sugar, crop insurance, rice and cotton industries while working with Washington D.C.-based Combest, Sell and Associates.
On its website, the firm says it works across party lines to build strong relationships to empower farmers, ranchers, and grassroots organizations to work for the policies that protect the nation’s food supply today and tomorrow.
