A farmer survey by a major analytical firm points to higher planted area for corn, soybeans, and wheat.
Allendale, Inc. projects U.S. corn acreage at 92.828 million acres, larger than the USDA’s Ag Outlook Forum guess of 92 million and up 2.009 million from 2020, implying an all-time high for production at 15.24 billion bushels. That’s using harvested area of 84.831 million acres and Allendale’s trend line yield of 179.7 bushels per acre.
