Demand for high oleic soybeans continues to grow.

Will McNair is worldwide director of oil and soyfood programs with the US Soybean Export Council. 

“We’re expecting acreage to about double in the coming year and then potentially double or triple in the coming years after that,” he says.

He says about half a million acres of high oleic soybeans are grown in the U.S., but that number is expected to climb to 1.5 million in the coming years.
