The chairman of the American Soybean Association is calling for an early planting season in his region.
Bill Gordon, who farms in southwest Minnesota, tells Brownfield the weather has been ideal the last couple of weeks, even hitting 70 degrees for a day, but the field conditions aren’t there yet.
“You saw people pulling their planters out and getting excited and then Mother Nature had to remind us that it’s still March and we just had four to five inches of snow and ice,” he shares.
